Ecosystem

Ecosystem is a little virtual garden made for Ludum Dare 34. It’s not a game as such, more of a sandbox. You change the terrain, plant seeds, water them, and watch as things gradually settle down. There’s a rough attempt at an ambient musical-ish soundtrack, and saving and loading so you can enjoy your little garden as long as you like.

B!lliards

Jam game

B!lliards

A procedurally-generated billiards/pool game, made in a week for ProcJam 2015, built on top of the Pool game I made last month. It randomly shuffles together various rules from games played on billiards tables to produce something new every time! I ran out of time at the end, so not many of the games it generates are actually winnable or fun, but it still comes up with cool mechanics occasionally.

Pool

Prototype-ish

Pool

A simple 2-player pool game. The balls are yellow and red because that’s how pool works in the UK. Not much to it!

Flibbertigibbet

In Progress!

Flibbertigibbet

Flibbertigibbet is a Minecraft-inspired roguelike thing I started whilst on a break. I’ve had the idea bouncing around my head for a long time now, and working from my low-spec laptop gave me the perfect excuse to make it.

I’ll probably be returning to it from time to time, as it’s one of those things where there’s always more that can be added. Right now, it’s pretty bare, and also part-way through an implementation of cows.

Frankenstein’s Monsters, Inc.

Jam Game!

Frankenstein's Monsters, Inc.

Frankenstein’s Monsters, Inc. is my entry to Ludum Dare 33, the theme of which was ‘You Are the Monster’. It’s a simple management game where as Dr Frankenstein, you turn your monster-creation abilities into a business! Put your monsters to work to expand your production, or sell them for a tidy profit. Of course, the general public are not entirely convinced that digging up the dead, stitching them together, and putting them to work is completely ethical. Some might call it “monstrous”! You’ll have to devote some of your income to PR works such as building orphanages, to calm public outrage before they burn down your establishment.

Mavis Bacon Teaches Typing

Mavis Bacon Teaches Typing

Mavis Bacon Teaches Typing is a quick little typing game starring delicious (if not nutritious) typing tutor Mavis Bacon. Type as many breakfast words as you can before they go off screen, while not getting distracted by the food flying everywhere!

Catsteroids

Catsteroids!

It’s Asteroids, but with cats! Made in a weekend when I realised I hadn’t done a 1GAM game for May. It’s not too bad as an Asteroids clone I think, but mostly it’s really dumb. Makes me laugh anyway!

Food Fight!

Jam Game!

Food Fight! is my entry into Ludum Dare 32, the theme of which was “An Unconventional Weapon”. It’s an arena shooter thing where you fight food. Unfortunately, it’s pretty broken for the majority of people, and managed to get my lowest ever rating in almost every category, so yay. A shame, because I quite liked it.
